In today's' digital, hyperconnected, technology-driven world, one is rarely faced with lack of information. Knowledge and opinions come to us from several resources. We at the Advanced Arab Academy of Audio-Vestibulogy are keen to launch 4AJ to bring to you the knowledge and opinions that will help Arab audiologists in their work and career and also address problems encountered in our region and find solutions that will benefit our Arab patients.

What will 4AJ offer?

As most medical journals, our publication is about research in our area. Clinical studies are potentially powerful tools for shaping the way in which we understand disease and deliver care. We aim to select articles for publication that are of interest to our geographical area and to our clinicians.

4AJ will be addressing research in the following areas:

Audiology and auditory disorders, amplification, auditory neuroscience, cochlear implants, rehabilitative audiology, vestibular sciences, and psychological acoustics.

We also aim to provide our readers with insight into the latest technological developments in our field that I perceive as being essential for the progress of our specialty. Our future issues will include interviews with opinion leaders as well as case reports and book reviews. All of which in my opinion will enrich our publication.

Mohamed Shabana, MD.
